Hug a tree then live in it.

The internets were overrun with Earth Day posts this week, I’m sure you all noticed. Here’s what caught my eye.

One of my bucket list items is to live for a few days in a tree house. Hopefully more like the top picture, but I could also go for livin’ in luxury like the one below. It was built by a pastor in the south and he runs it as a bed and breakfast. I want to sleep on the top floor and listen to the leaves rustle all night long.

I think my tree house fascination came from the book “My Side of the Mountain” by Jean Craighead George.

I bet I read this one at least 100 times as a kid. It’s the most fascinating book. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend you do.

Actually… forget I said that. I think next time I host book club this will be my pick! They just put out an anniversary edition and the cover is perfect (another strange obsession of mine, I know.) I’m going to buy it ASAP and read it to my kids.
