Meet Elfis Pinetree!

We adopted an Elf On The Shelf and last night was his first night keeping an eye on the kids and reporting back to Santa!

When you get your elf, you’re supposed to choose a new name. After some family debate with ideas like “peppy”, “joe” and “clark”… we decided on ELFIS PINETREE.

This is how we found him waiting for us this morning.

He’ll be with us all though December… also giving me something fun to blog about (!) so stay tuned for the elf antics at the Nelsons.

Last night I was thinking about the fact that for every stage in my life there has been a perfect Joni Mitchell song that could be the soundtrack of my experience.

Owen is working on mending holes in his “bobby” so he can sleep with it again.

 

(watching Robin Hood- Prince of Thieves and wearing a Star Wars Tshirt with his Star Wars guys always near by… he’s turning into a big kid, but I still love to see little hints of baby. Hope he keeps his “bobby” for quite some time.)

Mia is hard at work rearranging and decorating her room- for the umpteenth time. It’s her favorite hobby.

all done… now she’ll recover by watching a show on her laptop.

Jessie is anxiously waiting on Mitch for something… what could it be?
